Aerial Photogrammetry

Aerial photogrammetry uses advanced UAV / UAS drone technology to capture high-resolution aerial imagery and convert it into accurate maps, 3D models, and geospatial data. Maven Mapping Solutions provides professional aerial photogrammetry services throughout the Pacific Northwest, delivering precise orthomosaic mapping, surface models, and volumetric analysis for infrastructure, construction, and development projects. By combining licensed surveying expertise with advanced drone data collection and GNSS control, we provide reliable, efficient mapping solutions that support engineering design, project planning, and construction monitoring.

When Do We Recommend Aerial Photogrammetry?

We recommend and typically collect photogrammetry data for all of our clients' projects. The data has been proven time and time again to be extremely valuable for each project.

  1. Site conditions change more often than we realize. Deploying a photogrammetric drone is extremely fast and can collect images of an entire site in only minutes. Maven often collects these images at the beginning and subsequently throughout the duration of the project to show progress.
  2. Underground utility locates are very common in design mapping efforts. Collecting aerial images of a site after these utilities have been marked acts as a form of QA/QC and confirms any questions engineers may have.
  3. Open spaces with many hard surfaces can be ideal for using aerial photogrammetry for mapping and asset collection.
